About Us

Metaloffice is located in Mildenhall, Suffolk, and is renowned for producing high quality and innovatively designed office storage furniture. The owner and managing director Terry Hunt used his previous engineering skills and industry knowledge to established Metaloffice in 1982 and continues to enjoy the “Hands on” experience of running a successful company.


We serve major blue chip organisations, government departments, and the private sector through our partnerships within the office furniture network. Our main focus is as a ‘White label’ manufacturer responding to demands from other Manufacturers, Architects, Specifiers and Dealers.


As part of our continuous improvement programme, the factory was extended for a second time, and refitted with new plant and equipment during 2008/9. This has resulted in a substantial reduction in our carbon footprint, while increasing operating efficiency by more than 10%.


We are members of The Office Furniture Advisor Service, the British Safety Council, and prestigious regional Environment, Health and Safety group, which has direct links with both the HSE and local government. We hold certification in Quality Management System BS EN ISO 9001:2008, Environmental Management System BS EN ISO 14001:2004, GREENGUARD, from the Sustainable Times magazine, and participate in Investors in People programme.
